Assessing the team’s mental health. Having worked from home for over the past 12 months, re-entry into the office world could cause problems for some. Humans are adaptable, but we must not underestimate the effect that the pandemic has had on us.  Existing problems have only been exacerbated, especially for younger people, who have not been able to socialise for over a year. 

Keeping communication channels open, setting regular times to meet with the team, either via Zoom or Teams, or even the telephone for one to ones. Share screen is an invaluable tool for working on joint documents.

When offices begin to re-open, asses to see if hybrid working is possible. Listen to the concerns of employees but encourage them to return in part. Much peer group learning is lost working from home.
